Across all divisions, our experienced and knowledgeable team advocates a comprehensive and proactive attitude to customer service, prioritising the customer at every stage.
In this second article in our series interviewing our Passive Fire Protection Specialists, Brian Stewart, Internal Sales and Glasgow’s Passive Fire Protection Specialist, explains more about how we support our customers at the branch…
“Our point of difference is that we work closely with customers to ensure they get the best possible service, adding value to different aspects of their projects such as stock availability, reliable deliveries and technical support through our strong relationship with manufacturer partners.
“We prioritise different elements of our support depending on what matters most to each customer, but it’s important that all our teams, whether they are supplying insulation, groundworking products or passive fire protection, are driven by the same values. We put a lot of effort into ensuring our customers are looked after and they benefit from outstanding service at every stage.
“Ultimately, the customer decides who they want to work with for the supply of their materials, so it’s our job to make their lives easier, and our reliable service is what keeps them coming back. This can be as simple as helping customers meet tight project programmes by turning quotes around quickly to making sure orders are delivered or available to collect first thing or at a specified time.”
Brian has worked in construction for 34 years, gaining valuable experience across a wide range of product and application areas.
Brian expands: “At Encon & Nevill Long Glasgow, we are fortunate to have a team of strong all-rounders, meaning there will always be someone on hand to help any customer. I’ve become increasingly familiar with Passive Fire Protection over the course of my career and it’s encouraging to see more consideration being given to the area, in line with new legislation and building regulations.
“Providing accurate information is vital in Passive Fire Protection, and I have a good working knowledge to answer most questions. Most importantly, if I need additional technical information, I can call on our manufacturer partners and work with them and the customer to ensure the most suitable solution for their application, helping customers benefit from our trusted working relationships.
“Whether the customer’s priority is logistical support to get products to site when they are needed, or technical information to overcome installation challenges, we place their requirements at the centre of our everyday working.”
