Impact resistant boards are typically installed in busy, high traffic areas which are prone to intensive and rough use, such as schools, hospitals and hotel corridors.
Impact resistant plasterboard has a higher density than standard plasterboard. It is combined with different additives to increase toughness, durability and load bearing capacity, and therefore minimises the damage caused by impact, vibrations and scuffs.
