The Structural Timber Awards were back for their fifth year! With the heightened interest in offsite technology, it’s easy to see why over 500 construction professionals gathered at the prestigious awards ceremony to celebrate all things outstanding in structural timber. The awards returned to the national conference centre in Birmingham on the 9th October 2019.
Encon Insulation were proud to once again sponsor the Private Housing Project of the Year Award, rewarding those creating a new generation of sustainable, energy efficient and desirable places to live. For nearly 40 years, Encon has been the UK’s Independent Distributor of Choice for insulation, interior systems, roofing and fire protection.
Tom Kwiatkowski – Regional Sales Director, presented the award to G-Frame Structures & Stora Enso for their Roberts & Treguer’s Blaker Island development in Stratford, London. The challenging cross-laminated timber project comprises of a five story apartment block and two town houses that all have a high level of airtightness, required for the Passivhaus Standard.
