The BMF’s Annual Members’ Conference and Awards, which were held on the 18th and 19th September 2019, provided an excellent opportunity to recognise merchants who ‘go the extra mile’ in their commitment to supporting their teams. The event was hosted at the brilliant venue of St George’s Park, Burton-upon-Trent – the home of England’s 28 National Football Teams.
Encon Insulation were once again delighted to be the headline sponsors of this year’s BMF Members Day 2019 held on the second day of the conference. In recent years our involvement with merchants has developed immeasurably and this year, we’ve introduced two new Regional Key Account Managers to ensure we’re offering support for builders’ merchants all around the country.
The merchant sector is growing, and there’s never been a more important time to support independent merchants - by ensuring they have the knowledge and support as well as offering the market leading products they need to help them and their customers.
The two day event involved the Ultimate FA Experience, golf competition, conference and exhibition that was attended by a mixture of builders merchants, suppliers and industry service provides, with over 250 delegates in attendance on the day.
The conference was hosted by David Domoney, presenter of ITV’s Love Your Garden. This year’s theme for the conference was ‘together we are stronger’, acknowledging how, as an industry, we need to stick together in order to succeed through this critical time period. Attendees heard talks from inspirational and interesting speakers throughout the event, including our very own Mike Beard who introduced the new Encon Construction Products brand and offering to merchants.
