The Encon Group is celebrating another year of fantastic success after ranking 66th in the 15th annual Sunday Times Grant Thornton Top Track 250 League Table – 32 places higher than the previous year.

The prestigious index lists the top 250 private mid-market growth companies in Britain who have achieved the biggest sales by managing risk and choosing the right strategic options. Encon ranks alongside businesses such as housebuilders Avant Homes, Dr Martens, as well as Keepmoat Homes and Holland & Barrett.

Companies have excelled, even though they have faced challenges, such as the uncertainties caused by the Brexit negotiations and the impact of cost increases. At the end of the 2018/19 financial year, Encon’s sales were up 16% to £299.8 million, with an operating profit of £19.5 million up 52% on the previous year.

Speaking of the company’s accomplishments, Stuart Moore – Chief Executive said: “The previous year has been positive for our business, despite the building industry still experiencing political uncertainty, challenges with suppliers on stock availability, delivery lead times and price fluctuation. This year we introduced our new Encon Construction Products division, servicing the Infrastructure sector, and have positioned ourselves for further expansion in the future. The commitment, drive and smart decision making of our teams has also enabled us to maintain the growth of our Encon Insulation, Nevill Long, PFC Corofil and Gill Insulation brands. By continually improving operational excellence and quality customer service, we deliver results.”
