We’re supporting Armstrong Ceiling Solutions as they fine-tune their award winning recycling programme – making recycling ceiling tiles as simple and accessible as possible.
To save money from subsequent taxes, skips and transportation costs, all a contractor needs to do is take down the old ceiling tiles and stack them on pallets. Armstrong will arrange collection through us, and the old tiles will be 100% recycled at Armstrong’s production facility in Gateshead.
The end-of-life scheme now applies to any quantity of wet felt, stone wool and glass wool ceiling tiles manufactured after the 1st January 2000, where they are to be replaced by Armstrong ceiling tiles.
The scheme is available for the United Kingdom and Ireland and has been in place since 2003. It allows Armstrong to minimise their impact on the environment by diverting old products from landfill and also producing mineral ceiling tiles with even higher post-consumer recycled content, currently up to 82%.
Armstrong’s recycling programme for demolition, construction and renovation schemes has saved 15 million m2 of old tiles globally and has diverted 61,000 tonnes of waste from landfill.

Our Cardiff branch helped to recycle 4200m2 of old Armstrong Dune Prima ceiling tiles for contractor BBI at Rhomco Consulting Ltd’s office refurbishment at Cardiff Gate Business Park.
“By offering Armstrong’s recycling scheme to contractors BBI, we helped them save time and money by removing their unwanted waste, allowing BBI to make substantial savings on waste disposal costs.” – Craig Loxton, Senior Sales – Nevill Long.
