DensGlass® is a high-performance external gypsum sheathing board engineered to provide exceptional protection against moisture, fire and mould in modern façade and building envelope systems. Recognised by its distinctive gold colour, DensGlass has an established track record spanning more than 30 years and is widely specified across commercial, residential, education, healthcare and modular construction projects where durability and fire performance are critical requirements.
Classified as A1 non-combustible to BS EN 13501-1, DensGlass offers the highest level of fire performance and is suitable for use in projects where stringent fire safety standards are required. The board is also BBA Certified and manufactured in accordance with BS EN 15283-1:2008 + A1:2009, providing specifiers, contractors and distributors with confidence in its tested performance and regulatory compliance.
Designed for ease of installation, DensGlass is lightweight and easy to handle on-site. The board can be cut using a simple scribe-and-snap method without the need for power tools, while drilling and fixing can be carried out using conventional drywall or woodworking tools. Its ease of handling offers installation advantages over heavier cement-based or magnesium oxide sheathing boards, helping to improve installation efficiency and reduce labour time on-site.
