The report recognises the 100 largest privately-owned companies by turnover headquartered in the county, celebrating their contribution to the region and wider UK economy. The Encon Group is listed as 18th with the achievement reflecting our continued investment in growth and the development of our people over many years in line with our mission to be The Distributor of Choice.
The report celebrates the businesses which are reinforcing West Yorkshire’s position as one of the UK’s most dynamic and economically varied regions, with turnover totalling £63.1 billion. Encon was joined in the top 100 by customers Caddick Group, Howarth Timber Group and Triton Construction Holdings.
We are proud of our Yorkshire heritage, since our foundation in 1981 in Halifax and our present-day Head Office based in Wetherby. We are also proud of our nationwide network of branches which allows us to support a national customer base.
