My Alicia

MY Alicia is a classic superyacht measuring 165 feet (50m), originally built in the USA in 1930 she arrived in Southampton in 2015 to undergo extensive restoration works. Encon Fareham supplied all the insulation for the project to main contractors Southampton Marine Services. The challenging re-fit took around three years to complete with MY Alicia undertaking her commissioning and sea trials in and around the Solent in August 2018.

Thames Clippers River Boats

Encon Fareham also supplied insulation for four new ‘Hunt Class Mark 2’ boats destined to become MBNA Thames Clippers river boats and Red Funnel high speed boats. They were built by Wight Shipyard Co. on the Isle of Wight before taking up their roles transporting passengers on the Thames in central London and on the route between Southampton and the Isle of Wight.

“Mandy has provided technical support on the specification of this project ensuring the vessel was fit for purpose and the materials used in the construction of the vessel conformed to Maritime and Coastguard Agency regulations.” – Jon Makin, Plumbing & Insulation, Wight Shipyard Co.
