Composed of perlite and non-organic compounds, Multimortar is a dry white powder that when mixed with water creates a durable, thermally insulating and fire-resistant mass. When used to seal openings in walls or floors, it prevents the spread of fire and smoke through fire-resistant structures, while maintaining their acoustic properties. Multimortar is part of the Mulcol® Penetration Seal System. The Multimortar can be used in combination with the Multicollar Slim, Multidisc, Multiwrap, Multitherm Bandage and Multimastic FB firestop boards.
