    Annual Award Recognises Apprentice Achievements

Suppliers, customers, installers and distributors from across the Insulation industry gathered recently at the spectacular Knavesmire Racecourse in York for the Thermal Insulation Contractors Association (TICA) AGM and to celebrate the Apprentice of the Year Awards, sponsored by Encon Insulation.

The annual event, which seeks to reward the talents and hard work of a standout Thermal Insulation trainee, was hosted by Chief Executive Marion Marsland who emphasised the importance of nurturing and encouraging apprentices in order to help close the skills gap and provide a fully trained and knowledgeable workforce for the future.

The luncheon provided ample opportunity for guests to catch up and compare notes on industry changes and trends, before watching Apprentice Lee McCubbin from Solway Insulation receive his award in recognition of his dedication.

Speaking of Encon Insulation’s partnership with TICA, Industrial Development Director Bob Cordall commented, “It’s wonderful to join forces with TICA to help encourage and recognise the achievements of our industry’s apprentices. TICA is helping to bridge the gap between students willing to learn and contractors keen to invest in the future of their business which will help our industry thrive.”
