    Encon attend Merchant Trade Events

    29th July 2013

Encon teams recently attended two big merchant trade events, the NMBS show in Telford and the UNIMER event in Wales.

Both were an opportunity to win orders on the day and more importantly develop contacts at senior level in existing and new builders merchant accounts.

Since the day Encon first opened its door for trading, back in 1981, the merchant sector has been an integral and important part of its customer portfolio.  The Encon ethos of supporting and trading with merchants has been cascaded to and supported by all its locations nationwide.

Never has this been truer than since Encon's management buyout in October 2011, once again returning the company to its independent roots.  Being independent, Encon can focus on the drivers needed to support other like-minded businesses in many sectors, especially builders' merchants, where excellent service and value are paramount, particularly when competing against the bigger national operators.

Attending the NMBS event were Kevin Topping, Frank Astle and Rachel Bowling and at UNIMER we were represented by Justin Moylan-Jones and John Pulham.

Michael Beard, Merchant Development Director, had the following to say on Encon attending the merchant trade events; "Two major trade events such as these are very important for Encon relaying the message of "independence", whilst also winning new business and gaining new senior contacts in the builders merchant world."

Encon values its merchant customers.  After more than thirty years' trading, the company would like to think its customers also value Encon.

On this basis, the company looks forward to continuing to develop Encon/merchant partnerships, locally, regionally and nationally.
