Encon employee to reach new heights for charity

    13th October 2011

Encon Plymouth’s Area Sales Executive & Regional Firestop Specialist Robbie Taylor is set to embark on the gruelling challenge of climbing to Mount Everest’s base camp to raise funds for his chosen charity.

The challenge, which will push Robbie to his limits and see him reach heights of 5,557m above sea level, will hopefully result in £10,000 being raised for his Cornwall Hospice.  Robbie’s chosen charity provides specialist palliative care for people who have life limiting illnesses and offers support to their loved ones – everyone will agree that this is a worthy cause.

Reaching Mount Everest’s base camp is the equivalent of reaching the same height of eight Eiffel Tower’s, and is an achievement to be celebrated.  Standing at 4012m taller than Britain’s tallest mountain Ben Nevis, you can understand how hard this will be to complete.  We at Encon are very proud to have an employee embarking on such a rewarding and charitable expedition, and we wish Robbie well for his climb scheduled to take place in November 2012.
